Our Story
In 1993, at just 19 years old, Nikki Valesky-Molter took a leap of faith and opened the doors to Simply Nikki Dance Studio in Jeannette, PA. Starting with just 15 students, Nikki’s vision was simple: to create a space where dance could thrive and students could find joy in movement.
Starting out in a modest location in Jeannette Plaza by Wilson’s Candy, our studio quickly became a gathering place for aspiring dancers. It was here that we began to build our community, laying the groundwork for what would become a lasting tradition of excellence in dance.
Our first performance took place at Idlewild, a milestone that marked the beginning of our journey in bringing dance to the stage. This early success fueled our passion and commitment to providing top-notch dance education, and it wasn’t long before we outgrew our first location.
A few years later, our studio relocated to Fort Pitt Commons, marking an exciting new chapter. During this time, we introduced our annual Christmas show, and our summer showcases found a new stage at the prestigious Palace Theatre. Each year, these events highlight the talent, dedication, and growth of our students, as they perform for family, friends, and the community.
In 2020, we expanded our horizons even further by forming a Competition Team. This team has brought new challenges and opportunities for our dancers, who now represent our studio in regional and national competitions, showcasing their skills and passion on a larger stage.
From our humble beginnings, our story is one of resilience, growth, and unwavering dedication to the art of dance. Today, our studio continues to be a place where dancers of all ages and abilities come to learn, grow, and find their own rhythm. We are proud of our journey and excited for the future as we continue to inspire the next generation of dancers.
